Houston Maternity Photographer: The Calzada Family

This weekend I got to shoot the sweetest family of three, but will soon be four. Rebeca is 32 weeks pregnant and wanted to have some photos of her belly. Daddy and big brother, Fabian wanted in on the action too so we went to Hermann Park. Talk about weather Houston, it rains during the week and then God gives us sunny days to shoot on the weekends. Enjoy and Happy Monday!

FAVORITE!!
Until next time!

New Year, New Logo, New Website

SURPRISE!!! Yes, your eyes are not tricking you, something is different up top….the logo!

The logo has changed and I think you will like it better. To me it looks more professional and something that I can definitely grow into. I know that this new year is going to bring many more surprises and God is going to bless me with the best clients on this earth.
Not only do I have a new logo, but I am currently working on the new website…AHH!
I will let you know when I am finished working on it so you can go check it out!
So what do you think of it? You can leave your honest opinion on the poll. Just in case you didn’t know: I also have design skills….go figure. Drop me a line if you are interested at joanna@jtgstudio.com.

Never to late…

…to show you what I received for Christmas. First of all I must tell you that Christmas is usually spent at my aunt’s house; we go to church and then come home and eat dinner. We celebrate on the 24. We try to wait until midnight to open the presents but this year some of my cousins were a little impatient so we opened them a little earlier. From my cousin’s I received some clothes and some $$.

My novio is the one who spoils me, well we spoil each other. We have a tradition that has been happening for five years now…WOW…five years. Since he spends the holidays with his family in Monterrey, Mexico we exchange gifts before he leaves. We open one together, one on Christmas day and then our monthly anniversary on the 30. See…SPOILED, but we can’t break it now, its tradition. Before he left I opened up a new cover for my shootsac and a photography book. He opened up a five piece luggage set. On Christmas day I received some toys for my puppy Colt, the Dog Whisper DVD (the dog needs to learn who the pack leader is..ME) and the Dog Whisper book. He opened up Carnival (TV on DVD), a CD of the Eagles and two subscriptions to Men’s Health and Muscle Development. For the 30, I opened up my last present…Jane Austin’s complete novel collection, the book About Jane and the game SCRABBLE. Anybody want to play? I’ll host a game night. Pepe opened up a COACH wallet.

I know what you must be thinking…”that is a whole lot of stuff”. I haven’t even told you what I bought for myself….A MAC BOOK PRO!!! AHHH!! I know..it is amazing. It is going to help me move this dream forward. So with out further ado here are the photographs.

Do you see any foreshadowing for this new year?

Houston Portrait Photographer: Rosado Family

Before the new year I had the opportunity to photograph the Rosado family. Here is how it goes. Mrs. Roman and my mom have worked together since I can remember and that is more than 15 years. Her parents were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and she asked me to photograph them. The shoot was a family affair. Her brother and sister and their families were also there for the shoot all the way from Puerto Rico. It was a fun shoot where I learned the Puerto Rican lingo. Here are some of my favorites.

Mrs and Mr. Rosado

The siblings (Mrs. Roman is on the right side)

The crazy cousins

The whole family

Thanks for a wonderful time! Be sure to leave some comments.
