For Melinda

This is a special posting for one of the sweetest brides.

Today is Melinda’s birthday and I wanted to give her a sneak peak of her and Caleb’s engagement photos.

I hope today is just perfect for you! Happy Birthday!!

Attention Tuscany Villa of Garden Oaks and Bella Terraza Displaced Brides

I’m sure you have heard the news that two prominent wedding venues, The Tuscany Villa of Garden Oaks and Bella Terrazza, have gone bankrupt.

I heard the news from a bride I had meet with on Saturday. She and her fiancee had paid everything upfront. This is very sad to report. Brides will be losing any upfront money that had already paid to the venues. To read more about the story go to ABC 13.

On top of that, we are trying to recover from Hurricane Ike.

JTG STUDIO wants to help in this devastating time. Here is how it works.

Send me an email with:

  • A copy of your contract to verifying that you are a displaced bride of Tuscany of Garden Oaks or Bella Terraza
  • Information of your new date (if applicable) and the new location
  • A paragraph describing your personal situation
  • A photo of you and your fiancee (important, so I can show you off on the blog

The following offer is based on my availability (and choice), I will offer one displaced 2008 bride:

  • 6 hours of wedding day photography coverage
  • one portrait session
  • Online gallery
  • Hi-res digital negatives on dvd

(Albums can be purchased if you like for an extra cost.)

The sooner your contact me the sooner I can make a decision. The lucky couple will be revealed at the end of October. If your wedding is in October, please stress that in the email.

If you know of a bride in this situation please let her know what so many Houston photographers are doing. There are plenty of photographers to go around and help this wedding community.

I encourage other Houston wedding vendors to extend a helping hand.

Here are a few of photographers that I know are doing something similar.

Don’t show up to Reliant Center! Sorry ladies, it will be back next April.

Have you heard about the trouble many Houston brides are going through because Bella Terrazza and Tuscany of Garden Oaks went bankrupt? Such a horrible thing to happen to our wedding community. Check back to see how I will be trying to help these brides.

Dancing with the Stars was amazing.
Why can’t I dance like that.
I can’t say I was surprised to see Jeffrey Ross and Ted McGinley go home.
There are so many to choose from. Too early for a favorite.

Just another reminder to book your holiday session before it is to late.
Dates are going like hot cakes (mmm) and you don’t want to be left out.
Great opportunity for a new family portrait, baby portrait or even a just because portrait.

Nights in Rodanthe comes out on Friday and I know Pepe and I will be going to watch it.
I will have to bring some tissues because I will probably be sobbing like a baby. :)
I already read the book (isn’t Nicholas Sparks great?) so I know it will be an amazing movie.
Don’t you just love LOVE!!

In other movie news, Sex in the City: The Movie came out yesterday.
Bought it tonight, watching it tomorrow with the Karla and Sabrina!
