[W] News # 12

Last night I pulled out the big covers (San Marcos blanket) from the closet.

When I woke up this morning I didn’t want to unwrap my cocoon  of warmth.
It felt so nice and cozy.

I want to squeal like a high school girl when I watch Gossip Girl.
My friend Lizzy and I are such fans of the show, we could talk about it for hours.
If you haven’t seen it, you are missing out.

The Ashelynn Manor open house was fabulous this weekend. I meet so many brides-to-be.
Angela and Brent signed on the spot and are new clients for June 2009.
Angela and her sister-in-law kept asking questions and just wanted to know more about
our services. Photography was very important to her.  I’m ecstatic to shoot their engagement session soon.

Where does the time go? On Saturday it will be November and then day light savings time on Sunday at 2 a.m.
I swear 2008 will be gone soon and there are some surprises for 2009 in the works.

Melinda and Caleb’s Slideshow

I know I keep saying I’m going to post this together with the photos. Maybe next time.

For now here is Mel and Caleb’s slideshow. Hope you like.

Houston Baptism Photographer: Aaden Matthew

As a photographer, I get invited to share in a family’s most important moments.

Weddings being the formation of a new family, then the addition of babies.
The sacrament of baptism in the Catholic Church is the first one a child makes.
That is why I think my passion is so special.
I become a part of the family, capturing the special occasions that are forever remembered.
Aaden Matthew was baptized on October 12 at Christ the King Church.

[W] News # 11

I can feel the temperature changing…yes like a yo-yo..low and high. You just never know.

Can’t wait to start wearing sweaters and scarfs. I love this time of year.
It’s too bad we don’t have the pretty leafs change colors.

FYI: The Knot is so cool, they even have a message board where you can go write reviews
or talk about anything wedding related to help other brides.
Feel free to say great things about yours truly.

I think that Gossip Girl has just kicked DWTS to the curb. SERIOUSLY.
I just can’t watch both and switching from channel to channel isn’t working.
I know that TIVO exist, but I don’t watch enough tv for something like that.
Watch it once and I bet you’ll be hooked!!

After the Dynamo game on Saturday, Pepe and I had dinner with Lizzy and Edson.
It was so great to just talk and laugh for hours. We had finished our meal and just kept chatting. Boys, I swear they can talk…lol.   :)

You know that I like to keep educating myself for you-my clients. I try to attend as many meetings at the guild and conferences. I think the best education is when another photographer gives you 10 minutes of their time and just talks shop with you.  Yesterday, during the meeting I sat down with Aric from Solaris Studios.   I think I learned more from Aric in those 30 minutes then from the guest speaker.  Thank you so much for your time and honesty!
