From time to time I volunteer with the Susan G Komen Foundation. Last week they had a dinner for the top 100 fundraisers from last years race.
Just a friendly reminder that the race against breast cancer is on October 3rd. Visit the Susan G Komen website for more information on how you can fundraise. Everything counts.

Being a photographer definitely has its perks. I realize that my job revolves around the happiest moments of my clients. The ones you want to remember forever.
It’s also nice to have photographer friends who you can call upon.
Her is my take on my photographer friend Katherine and her husband John on their journey through a little something they call labor. Boy, I sure did learn a lot about this miracle and all the patience one needs to have. I’ll be able to look back and remember when my day comes.

Get ready to see Serenity at a week old.
On Monday I embarked on a new adventure. I’ve heard stories about this great miracle and I witnessed three of them while I was in high school in the HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) program. Not only did I witness, but I was able to document the entire story. Here is one that caught my eye from the moment I pressed the shutter. It’s so simple, yet it speaks so much.
The soon-to-be father before he goes into the surgery room, minutes before the baby is born. A point and shoot camera by his side while he takes a few moments to put on his mask.
I wonder what his thoughts were at that moment.

Memorial Day weekend was a lot of fun. I traveled to Monterrey, NL for my cousin’s bridal shower. She has had quite a few, but his one by far has been my favorite because all of our family members were present. The bridal shower was held at a prominent reception venue called Palacio Real.
I have to say my aunt Martha did a great job coordinating the shower in Monterrey. It’s hard planning an event, even a small shower from out of town. She has a lot of experience, having done this for her three daughters already. Maybe she’ll help me for mine too. 
The bride-to-be in less then a month…o my goodness!
