Bridal Show and a beautiful wedding

The weekend was full of excitement with the Bridal Extravaganza and a beautiful wedding on Saturday. Congrats again to Jennifer and Matthew.

WPPI 2010

I’m back from a wirlwind adventure in Vegas that included a mini vacation with friends and then a much needed business trip full of inspiration at WPPI. This was the third time I have gone to Vegas to experience the speakers, tradeshow and most importantly all the networking with photographers from all over the world. So excited about all the wonderful people I met.

In the past I felt lost in the sea of photographers, not knowing what worked for me in my business. This year I felt confident, knowing that I already had established my workflow, made my own business decisions and could confidently walk through the tradeshow without feeling overwhelmed.

The best part of WPPI is networking with the photographers I already know who are a big part of my life, like the AKC girls, and the ones I didn’t know but can’t wait to learn more from.

Thanks to WPPI, VEGAS and the wonderful girls of Alpha Kappa Camera for making this WPPI a trip to remember! Looking forward to WPPI 2011!

Hello world. My life has been upside down these past couple of days. My computer was in the shop :( and my email was down and I’m sorry for not responding. If you don’t hear back from me, please send me your email again. I might have not received it. Another year has gone by

A couple of days ago the jtg studio photo blog had it’s second anniversary. I first started blogging in November of 2007 on a blogspot blog. Then in November of 2008 made the switch to this semi custom blog with bigger photos. Since then I have made 129 blog entries, making that a total of 248 post. I hope that I can post 150 more for next year, that’s a goal.

Right now, I am currently in works with a very talented designer. The jtg studio logo as you know it will be revamped and the changes will become apparent soon. I had hoped that everything would have been ready for the new year and a big reveal but I’m not going to rush it. Everything will happen at it’s own time.

As for now, I’m busy attending current clients and meeting with perspective clients for 2010. I know it will be a great year.

And because no blog post is a good post without some pretty pictures, here is one from this weekend’s wedding. I’m truly blessed to have the clients that I do.

Mini Holiday Sessions

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I keep thinking that now is the perfect time for family photos. Hopefully the weather sticks around. Hasn’t it been beautiful the past couple of days? I love it.

Happy 4th

Happy 4th of July!!

I’m happy to live in this great country and know that we have freedom thanks to the wonderful men and women who risked their lives for us.

And yes I know..it has been forever since I posted. After much needed vacation I am back in action..I have several weddings to blog and some portrait sessions so watch out!!

I’ve put a lot of thought into this weekly dose of the [W] news and came to the conclusion that maybe it should become a more monthly thing instead of a weekly one. What do you think? Yay or nay….leave a comment!

Saturday is the big day for Keleigh and Thomas. I’m excited to see these two tie the knot and also because I will be able to post her bridal session!!

GG was kinda crazy this past Monday, but they wouldn’t have it any other way I suppose. Will these upper east sidders ever learn?

Just FYI to newly engaged brides: I will only be taking a few more weddings this year to insure the best customer service to my clients. So if you are getting married this year and are interested now is the time to book. We are also booking for 2010 now.

On Sunday I will be going to Arizona for a great workshop hosted by the talented Melissa Jill. I think I will have internet connection, but I may be slow in returning your email as I soak in all the information from the workshop. This upcoming month will definitely be a jammed packed adventure. The very anticipated wedding of Keleigh and Thomas, a trip to Arizona to learn from the ever amazing Melissa Jill at her fabulous workshop, and my cousin’s bridal showers that I will be covering. So excited for this month!!

I haven’t talked about GG lately, but man I wish the show lasted more than an hour. I feel it would be way better if it were a two hour show.

I will only be taking a few more weddings this year to insure the best customer service to my clients. So if you are getting married this year and are interested now is the time to book. We are also booking for 2010 now.

I’ve started to meet with a lot of new girls that I’ve met at the bridal shows and it’s exciting to hear about all their planning ideas and gushing details.

Weddings are awesome.

I’ve also been busy designing albums for past brides. I think they are so important, because they truly are your first family heirloom.

The longest weekend…

This was probably the longest weekend ever, but boy was it fun.

It started with my cousin’s wedding rehearsal on Thursday and then the actual wedding on Friday. Yes, the day it rained and poured. But before the wedding on Friday night, I had to go set up the booth at the Bridal Symposium. Thank goodness for Pepe, or else I don’t know how I would have done it.

I had a great time being a guest at the wedding though. Here are just a few.

After staying up really late because of all the dancing , I woke up bright an early to go to the bridal symposium. Melinda was there to help. We met some great girls and I can’t wait to talk to them again. Here is a photo of the booth and one of Mel and I.
