Making their second appearance on the blog is my lovely couple, Toni and Steven. I photographed their wedding in October of 2009 and here they are expecting their little bean in October of 2010. Congratulations again friends. I feel so overjoyed that you allowed me to share and capture this beautiful time in your lives.

I wanted to share two favorites from a quick maternity session I did before going on my summer vacation. Sometimes clients want something more intimate for their maternity session. I’m fully prepared with studio backgrounds and lighting when clients request it. These were done in my home studio, but I can travel to your home upon request.

JTG STUDIO specializes in wedding photography, but also offers maternity, newborn and family photography.

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of shooting this adorable family of six soon to be seven. I hope to look this good when I have kids.

Iris had never taken maternity pictures, what better time then on your last pregnancy! This session was taken in Manvel.

Iris shares a special bond with her first born and her only girl.

Here are two with her husband Dago. Having photos of just you and your spouse are so important.

Everyone was so excited for their baby brother! Baby Damian was born a week later.

Houston Maternity Photographer: Pedro and Lely

Last year, my last session was with Lely and Pedro. I was thrilled to hear that they were coming to Houston for Christmas. I hadn’t seen them since their wedding in November of 2008. I was even more excited because Lely is 7 months pregnant and a maternity shoot was a must. With such beautiful subjects who could resist.

We set out that day to my favorite park in midtown and had a quick session. The sunset was beautiful and it made for glorious photos.

I can’t wait to meet your little bundle of joy.

Miracles

On Monday I embarked on a new adventure. I’ve heard stories about this great miracle and I witnessed three of them while I was in high school in the HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) program. Not only did I witness, but I was able to document the entire story. Here is one that caught my eye from the moment I pressed the shutter. It’s so simple, yet it speaks so much.

The soon-to-be father before he goes into the surgery room, minutes before the baby is born. A point and shoot camera by his side while he takes a few moments to put on his mask.

I wonder what his thoughts were at that moment.

Before I left to Vegas last week I left you with a sneak peak to a maternity session. Not just any maternity session, but one of my very good friends Jen and Sergio.

She is probably one of my most photographed client who appreciates the importance of photography. I can’t wait to meet little Sergio.

This weekend I got to shoot the sweetest family of three, but will soon be four. Rebeca is 32 weeks pregnant and wanted to have some photos of her belly. Daddy and big brother, Fabian wanted in on the action too so we went to Hermann Park. Talk about weather Houston, it rains during the week and then God gives us sunny days to shoot on the weekends. Enjoy and Happy Monday!
