A beautiful woman was joined in matrimony with a sweet, gentle man on a sunny Friday evening. Lindsay was glowing all day, but her eyes sparkled when she saw Lonnie. Everything ran smoothly as the girls fluttered around the rooms at Ashelynn Manor helping Lindsay get ready. I felt so happy for them.

I loved Lindsay and Lonnie and their families. They made me feel so welcome.

The linens were supplied by Party Cloths.

I loved the detail in Lindsay’s bouquet. Imagine That!, wrapped a piece of her grandmother’s wedding veil around the bouquet.

Every now and then I book a wedding over the phone without having met the couple who is trusting me with their day based on my portfolio. Laura is one of those trustworthy girls. She and Nick were living in Virginia at the time. A couple of months later they moved to New Mexico and on their move, they stopped by Houston to see friends and family. They were able to squeeze in some time to meet with me and I’m so glad they did. I always feel more relaxed when I get to work with the couple before hand during an engagement or bridal session, but even though we didn’t get to do that with Nick and Laura I felt relaxed as soon as Laura greeted me with a hug upon my arrival.

Ashelynn Manor Wedding Photography: Jennifer and Cody

After two days of rain, the sun shined down on Jennifer and Cody’s day. The breeze kept everyone nice and cool at Ashelynn Manor. The day started with hair and make-up by the talented Emily Ashe. Filled with joy and emotion, Jennifer got ready in the Veranda room in the Main House.

We’ll start with some details of her Southern Belle dress and her cowboy boots that served as her “something old”.

An original sixpence from the 1940s and her something blue that her grandmother gave her.

The bride’s sister did the final touch-up on her make-up.

I love the excitement in her sister and mom’s faces as they help her with the finishing touches of the garter and the veil.

This was the sneak peak of earlier this week. I just love the old time feel to it and her walking down the stairs to become a Mrs.

We’ll start with a few relaxed portraits of the bride.

Ashelynn Manor Wedding Photography: Courtney and Jake

Another fabulous wedding at Ashelynn Manor. A brisk Saturday morning started with the girls getting their hair and make-up done by the talented Emily Ashe. Their was so much excitement in the room. To fully understand why there was so much love in the room let me tell you that Courtney is the oldest of six-four brothers and a sister, her best friend. Jake is the oldest of five brothers. These two families were about to grow with the union of their pack leaders.

I love the reaction of Carol, Jake’s mom when she first sees Courtney. I think she is excited to finally have a daughter.

Ashelynn Manor Wedding Photography: Jessica and Jack

Before anything else-I have to say that I love Jessica and Jack!

Not only Jessica and Jack, but their entire families that made me feel so welcomed.

Thanks to Kim, Jennifer, Cassie, Carrie and last but not least the best MOB (mother of the bride) Edie!

Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

A little about this amazing couple:

They met at the pool of their apartment complex, he was with his buddies and she was with friends. They chatted and Jack offered to make her a hamburger. I remember her telling me that there was just something about Jack. Love at first sight. : )

After two incredible toast one by the best man and one by the maid of honor,

I feel like I know them so well, but I won’t get into the details. :)

Heights Heights Fire Station Wedding

Every now and then, I get to second shot with photographers in the Houston area. This time I had the pleasure to be shooting with Akil Bennett. Thanks for having me Akil.

Everything about this wedding was beautiful and it ran so smoothly. And probably the most important thing was the amazing light we had the entire day. From the home where the bride was getting ready to the sweet light we had during the portraits. This is just a sneak peak, because there were too many great photos to choose from. Stay tuned for when I get home to see a lot more photos.

Houston Wedding Photography: Jennifer and Sergio

Last weekend I had the privilege of shooting the wedding of my sorority sister.
If you remember, I shot some portraits for her for her bridal shower. Jen and Sergio were married at Christ the King Catholic Church and the reception was help at the Arabia Shrine Center.

Jen’s parents, as well as Sergio’s were very sweet and I felt very much as part of their family through out the entire day.

Palacio Real-Monterrey N.L. Wedding: Cindy and Miguel

Cindy and Miguel’s wedding was on November 24 in Monterrey, N.L at the Palacio Real. After dating a couple of years and going back and forth about where they would settle down because Miguel is from Puebla, they got some very exciting news. Miguel’s job tranfer had gone through and they would be staying in Monterrey. Have fun on your honeymoon you two!
